Altes Forsthaus in Muhlenbeck

Last night we spontaneously ordered three half ducks and one cabbage rolls. The food was ready for us to pick up in under 30 minutes, the handover was very friendly, the food at home was still hot and served fresh. The duck was by far the best I've eaten in a long time. Super crispy crust, very tender meat and the whole thing huge. In addition, the red cabbage turned out really well, the dumplings great and the sauce great. Great, I hope you survive the Corona period and we can come back to you soon👍👍👍

Schnitzel with fried potatoes and chanterelles. Schnitzel was warmed up, not fresh from the pan, tasted like the buffet, lukewarm, breading soft and sticky, fried potatoes were also warmed up and out of the pack, 100% cut the same, also very sticky, onions and bacon not available, The only thing that was freshly prepared and that tasted great was the chanterelles with spring onions and onions. 17.90 € is set too high for that, I think. If everything had been perfectly fresh, then ok.

Although we have been living in Schildow for so long, we ate here for the first time and were more than thrilled ... the atmosphere outside and inside is very cozy ... simply rustic ... the service is funny and extremely friendly as if she were right Joy in her work that was anything but easy that evening ... because it was very full. What we found very nice was a permanent roofing of the terrace in the outdoor area, since you can sit there even in light rain in summer pretty lamps went on in the dark. The food was above average ... we had a skewer for 2 people which was very tasty .. the homemade fries a dream We could catch a glimpse of the other tables too and every dish looked very tasty and smelled delicious too. Our daughter had a children's dish which she also liked very much and which she completely cleaned up. For dessert we even managed to eat the really delicious Kaiserschmarrn with creamy vanilla sauce and apple sauce. Finally, we were offered a nightcap, which is not often the case in a German restaurant. We declined this with thanks, but were spoiled with cookies. Unfortunately, it was very busy today and our order has gone down - so we had to wait a long time. But the quality of the food has made up for it. The price is really reasonable. So people. A very nice gas with very good home cooking. A bit dark overall, but very cozy. Unfortunately, there was no latte macchiato, which was sad. The host was very helpful and a special request was not an issue. Everything went quickly. Nice old cards. The way is worth it.

Excellent German cuisine in a cozy, traditional setting. Our table tried the Halbe Ente (crispy half duck with red cabbage and Knoedel, 14 Euro), the Wildschweingulasch (wild boar gulasch with red cabbage and Boehmische Knoedel, 13 Euro) and the Wiener Schnitzel with mushrooms (12 Euro). I'm always amazed that it tastes exactly as if my grandma would cook it (who knows, they might have a German grandma cooking in the kitchen). We've been coming here for the past couple of years and the quality of food is consistently good. Highly recommended when you're in the area.
